EPISODE 34 \u2013 I Shelter Another Girl<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Lagos never truly sleeps. And some nights, its shadows stay awake longer than the people.<\/p>\n

That evening, I was returning from a small catering job, tired but grateful. As I turned into my street, I noticed a young girl crouched close to the gutter, trying to make herself invisible. She held a small bag tightly to her chest. Her eyes were wide, not from the Lagos heat, but from fear.<\/p>\n

Something inside me shifted.<\/p>\n

I had seen that look before. I had worn it myself.<\/p>\n

I slowed down and approached her carefully, my voice soft so I wouldn\u2019t scare her.
