Late one evening, a Marine arrived in a small town only to discover that all the hotel rooms were occupied. Desperate for a place to rest, he reached the last hotel and pleaded with the manager, “You must have a room or even just a bed available, I don’t mind where.”<\/p>\n
The manager hesitated before disclosing, “Well, there is a double room with a Navy occupant, and he might be willing to split the cost. But I should warn you, he snores loudly, and previous guests in adjoining rooms have complained. It might not be worth it.”<\/p>\n
Undeterred, the weary Marine assured him, “No problem, I’ll take it.”<\/p>\n
