He told the jeweler he was looking for a special ring for his girlfriend.<\/h2>\n<p>The jeweler looked through his stock and brought out a $5000 ring and showed it to him.<\/p>\n<p>The old man said, \u201cI don\u2019t think you understand, I want something very special.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>At that statement, the jeweler went to his special stock and brought another ring over. \u201cHere\u2019s a stunning ring at only $40,000\u201d, the jeweler said.<\/p>\n<p>The young lady\u2019s eyes sparkled and her whole body trembled with excitement. The old man seeing this said, \u201cWe\u2019ll take it\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The jeweler asked how payment would be made and the old man stated, by cheque. \u201cI know you need to make sure my cheque is good, so I\u2019ll write it now and you can call the bank on Monday to verify the funds and I\u2019ll pick up the ring Monday afternoon\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Monday morning a very teed-off jeweler phoned the old man. \u201cThere\u2019s no money in that account!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI know\u201d, said the old man. \u201cBut can you imagine the weekend I just had?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>An older white haired man walked into a jewelry store one Friday with his beautiful young girlfriend at his side.
