Earlier this year, House Republicans had released that transcript but redacted some of the employee\u2019s responses that are now public.\n    <\/p>\n<p data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm2eylyu5001s3b5vguskax7r@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            According to the transcript, the White House employee told Trump that TV networks had pulled away from his speech because \u201cthey\u2019re rioting down at the Capitol.\u201d\n    <\/p>\n<p data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm2eylyu5001t3b5v79lz4834@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            \u201cAnd he was, like, What do you mean? I said, It\u2019s, like, they\u2019re rioting there at the Capitol. And he was, like, Oh, really? And then he was like, All right, let\u2019s go see.\u201d\n    <\/p>\n<p data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm2eylyu5001u3b5vzenio2wh@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            The employee told the committee he took off Trump\u2019s outer coat, got a TV and handed Trump the remote, after which, he went to retrieve a Diet Coke for the president, who was sitting in the Oval Dining Room.\n    <\/p>\n<p data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm2eylyu5001v3b5v3buh1dcu@published\" disclosures with the Federal Election Commission, including more than $62 million poured into critical canvassing and field operations.\n    <\/p>\n<p data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm2ewyxg5001e3b5v757xy4lf@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            <strong>A breakdown of the spending:<\/strong> America PAC, Musk\u2019s group, reported spending a total of $106.8 million on independent expenditures for the presidential race in its latest round of filings, as it dropped millions more this week on door-knocking efforts, printing, digital media, texting and phone calls.\n    <\/p>\n<p data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm2ewyxg5001f3b5vt2x8z16i@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            The group\u2019s top expenditure category by far is in canvassing and field operations, giving a significant lift to the Trump campaign on the ground in key swing states, Pennsylvania in particular, where Musk\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2024\/10\/05\/politics\/musk-trump-rally-butler\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">has been stumping<\/a>\u00a0for the former president.
