On a routine police patrol in the USA, parked outside a local neighborhood bar, a police officer noticed a man leaving so intoxicated he could barely walk.
The man stumbled around the parking lot for several minutes, with the officer observing quietly.
After trying his keys on five different cars, he finally found his own vehicle and collapsed into the driverโs seat.
He sat there for a few minutes while other bar patrons left and drove off.
Then, he started the car, turned the windshield wipers on and off (even though it was a dry night), flicked the hazard lights, honked the horn, and turned the headlights on.
He moved forward a few inches, reversed slightly, and sat there again while more patrons exited the lot.
Finally, as almost everyone had driven off, he slowly pulled out and began driving down the street.
After patiently waiting all this time, the officer activated his lights, pulled the man over, and administered a breathalyzer test.
To the officerโs amazement, the test indicated no trace of alcohol.
Stunned, the officer said, โIโm going to need you to come to the station. This breathalyzer must be broken.โ
The man replied, โI doubt it, officer,โโฆ
