A Man Went To Visit His 90 Year Old Grandfather

A man made a journey to visit his 90-year-old grandfather, who lived in a remote, rural area of the state. After spending the night, his grandfather prepared breakfast, serving eggs and bacon.

As he looked at his plate, he noticed a filmy residue and asked his grandfather, “Are these plates clean?”

His grandfather responded, “Those plates are as clean as cold water can make them, so go ahead and finish your meal.”

Later that day, during lunch when he was eating the hamburgers his grandfather had prepared, he noticed small specks around the plate’s edge and something that resembled dried egg yolks. So, he inquired once more, “Are you certain these plates are clean?”

Without taking his eyes off the football game on TV, the grandfather replied, “I’ve already told you; those dishes are as clean as cold water can get them. Don’t ask me about it again.”

Later in the day, as he was heading out to get dinner in a nearby town, the grandfather’s dog began growling and blocking his path. He said, “Grandfather, your dog won’t let me pass.”

Without turning away from the football game, his grandfather yelled, “Cold Water, go lay down!”
