A Midwest Farmer Was Describing His Lifestyle
A farmer from the Midwest was sharing insights about his way of life with a group of city dwellers on a tour.
“One advantage of being in this profession,” he shared, “is having built-in weather predictions.”
Curious, one of the visitors asked, “What do you mean by that?”
The farmer clarified, “When the cows are standing, it indicates that there’s unlikely to be rain in the next twenty-four hours. When they’re lying down, it means rain is on the way.”
During the bus trip, another visitor chimed in, saying, “I noticed half the herd standing and the other half lying down. What does that mean?”
The farmer grinned and replied, “That means half of them are incorrect.”
